SURKIN & TODD EDWARDS 'I Want You Back' EP preview

Had to pre-order this EP the sound is way to tough. This is my personal choice of electronic and house music sounds that I personally like.

SURKIN & TODD EDWARDS 'I Want You Back' EP preview

Breakfast (Syrup) -- Kreayshwan

Really no difference from the Fat Boys in the 80's when they had mainstream success. Not to shabby.

Video Of The Day -- TNGHT -- Easy Easy ( Hudson Mohawke x Lunice)

A homie just put me on to this Hudson Mohawke Lunice collaboration this afternoon. Sonically the tracks sound bananas. If you love instrumentals and your tired of half ass music check this out. More to come.

Hudson Mohawke aka DJ Itchy -- DMC -- 03' Battle

Hudson Mohawke is one of my favorite DJ/Producer/Artist thanks to my homie A.M. Breakups who introduced me to his work a few years ago. I came across this video of the young producer on the come up rock the UK DMC's scene in 03' at age 15. Dope routine. Enjoy.

Throwback Thursday Video Pick -- Offspring

Offspring -- Pretty Fly (For A White Guy) was the jam when I was a kid. One of the funniest songs in pop music history. Nothing like a little fun and a good laugh, enjoy.

DJ ROB SWIFT -- NOBODY BEATS THE BIZ

Rob Swift dropping gems and throwing down some routines. Real good stuff here. Always good to hear it from the best. He says in this clip you can't be scared of failure its a character builder.

RIP -- Sherman Hemsley -- George Jefferson -- I Ain't Yelling I Just Got A Loud Voice!!!

One of my favorite childhood memories was watching the Jefferson's on TV Land. It was such an epic and classic piece of work that opened up so many doors for black entertainers. Sherman Hemsley by far is one of the funniest men who ever lived and graced a TV screen. He will always be an icon and hero of mine. His work in entertainment is hard to match and always an inspiration. Here is a little funny video from Mr. George Jefferson to keep you laughing and always remembering. The goal is to move on up to the East Side.

Wu-Wednesday

Classic Wu-Tang banger right here Da Mystery Of Chessboxin. Lyrically one of my favorites. The thing that is so special about Wu-Tang to me is the immense amount of character in their work. No other group of individuals is as original as this team.

DJ Qbert -- The Art Of Scratching

Huge fan of the DJ and Turntable culture as you all know. Here is another turntablist video I came across of DJ Qbert one of my personal favorites. Enjoy.

Throw Back Thursday -- Video Of The Day

My Throw Back Thursday pick for today is this funky hopping classic from Staten Islands very own The U.M.C.'s -- Blue Cheese. This lyrically infectious duo made up of Hass G & Kool Kim regulated the airwaves in 91' with the classic album Fruits Of Nature. One of my favorite throwbacks to rock. Enjoy.

Nas On Illmatic -- 10 Albums -- What A Career

This is a interview done by Fuse questioning Nas on his classic album Illmatic. We all know Illmatic is one of the best hip-hop albums of all time. A in depth and graphic movie of sound that defined a generation of young urban youth in America. Getting to hear Nas's opinion of his work is interesting and I have to agree with him that the album is perfect in every way. It is very true though a lot has change even though the album is perfect Nas no longer believes Life's A Bitch anymore, its more so Life Is Good. Support my man by going out and copping his 10th studio release Life Is Good.

Mantronix -- Bassline -- Throwback

Mantronix is at the top of my list of ol skool classic. Bassline has been a favorite of mine since I first heard it.  Mantronix are pioneers of bringing hip-hop into the electronic music world. Bassline 1985 music video.

Video Of The Day

A classic throw back here. Oh Happy Days from Sister Act 2 is one of those greatest musical moments in a movie. Growing up in a black church this movie was a big hit amongst everyone. I don't listen to much gospel music now days but thats how I got my start so I'll always have a strong appreciation for it. Just a little something.

DJ Percision -- DMC Showcase

Throw Back Thursday Video Of The Day -- Alice Cooper -- I'm Eighteen

Growing up I was sonically attracted to rock music. There was hip-hop, jazz, and soul all around me but I was really intrigued by rock music. It was foreign to the aesthetics of my environment. I always wanted to be edgy and different and Rock & Roll gave me that sense. I love Alice Cooper I've always thought he was genius. The thing that really attracts me to the music isn't just the sound but the live performances. The live video footage is inspirational. A part of working in music, nightlife, and entertainment is playing a character and doing it well. Alice is the best to take tips from.

DJ VICE -- VS -- DJ SKRIBBLE -- CLASSIC WEST -- VS -- EAST

This is what its all about. I'm a huge fan of both Skribble and Vice seen both of them in the club in numerous occasions. Growing up watching Skribble on MTV was epic. This is why I started DJing. HIP-HOP!!!!!!!!!!! House music cool but I started DJing strictly cause of my fascination of Tunrtablism.

84 KING -- Mixtape -- Summer Old School Vibe

Just a little something groovy for all my music lovers. If you haven't caught this mix yet here you go. Enjoy

Classic -- A TRAK

Just another A TRAK scratch video I came across. Homie be puts together some dope routines always fun to see what's out there.
