Electronic Trap has taking over the dance floors in the urban landscape of NYC lately and this is a track I came across that I've really enjoyed chopping up. That classic 808 kick sound that most of us love with a cool melodic back round this track keeps my fader clicking all day.

Throwback Thursday Video Bonus -- Simply Red -- Money's Too Tight To Mention
Simply Red -- Money's Too Tight To Mention
This classic has been one of my favorite 80's records lately cause its such a reflection of my current state of life. The brilliance of songwriting that is displayed in this song is amazing to me. Not much has changed since this song was written. We are still feeling the bullshit Reaganomics left over from the Bush era that loom over this country like a dark toxic cloud.
Which is why voting in this election is so important. People really need to believe that we can have a change. Set aside your conspiracy theories and hatred of all things government and really participate in making a change instead of talking shit. We all know that the race card is still in the deck but the biggest sore card for us all as a country is social and economic inequality between the top earners and the hard working people that make America. Money's Too Tight To Mention couldn't be any more true but lets learn from the past and improve.

Throwback Video Of The Day -- Cuban Link -- Still Telling Lies
My throwback video pick today is Cuban Link -- Still Telling Lies. This was a banger when I was a kid when Terror Squad was like a MMG at the time. I remember coming home from school to see what new music AJ & Free were going to air on 106 & Park now I bump into AJ at parties when I'm spinning.
Everybody knows that you really a hoe why you still telling lies to me!

Wu-Wednesday
My Wu pick for today is Ghostface Killah -- 2getha Baby
The first time I heard this track I was instantly hooked. It had been awhile since Ghost put something out so when I heard this I was excited. The way the sample comes in and then the beat breaks down makes the record hard to miss. Something nice for the party but still true to the roots of what makes Ghostface Killah one of the stand outs of the Wu-Tang Dynasty.

ALEA IACTA EST -- RESERVOIR SOUND
Alea Iacta Est (The Die Has Been Cast) is the latest collaboration from my label mates on Reservoir Sound. Released just recently on September 25th we have bought you new sounds that showcase the talents on are label for are fans and new listeners.
This compilation can be described as a sonic and poetic story with a strong honesty that's so sincere you can't ignore it. The first track on the record Filters (4LAS) a instrumental composition from A.M. Breakups; the man who started this all. Filter (4LAS) will lead you into this listening experience with much ease. Comprised of records from Teddy Faley, who delivers this album with hard hitting beats and lyrics to match with solid songs like DC4.
There are appearances from the much anticipated Cult Favorite a collaboration between A.M. Breakups & Elucid bring you the teaser Gumshoe. Instrumental Compositions by Jeff Marky who makes his first record debut coming solid with EDH Feat. DJ Addikt. There also is We Are Not For Them a collaboration between ( A.M. Breakups, Warren Britt, & Jimmy The Gent) Feat. Billy Woods and Eleven who bring you Captures, a hard hitting beat with cuts to match displaying much lyrical prowess. The solo performance of Warren Britt over the A. Smart produced A Song For Teddy Faley brings a poetic element to this record that's reminiscent of hip-hops most golden moments. Contributions coming from Shape on the In Closing Remix really hints you to the lyrical brilliance that makes this group.
MC Eleven brings it hard breaking down the history of the conception of what made Reservoir Sound on the A. Smart produced Alpha Alpha Feat. DJ Addikt who delievers seamless cuts over this electronic infused beat. Eleven raps solidify his title as the first and the Alpha MC of this label. We also bring you the hard hitting instrumental track Gimme Dem Boots Inc. from The Surface Tension Beekeepers that will tickle your hearing senses. A strong solo stand out piece from Hype Wonder with his feel good track Exist gives this album the perfect feel with a little something for everybody.
Reservoir Sound is a family, these are my brothers and this is the music that we bring to share with you. We love hip-hop, we love this city, we love Brooklyn and Baltimore this is our story that we look forward to spreading and sharing with the masses.
