Wu - Wednesday Video Pick Of The Day

Wu - Wednesday video pick today is Ghostface Killah Feat. Carl Thomas and Raekwon -- Never Be The Same Again.

I love this track and video. Ghostface always comes correct with the hit for the ladies a consistent panty pleaser through out his whole career showing love to all them thugged out chicks and ghetto divas. A classic collaboration between the R&B crooner on Carl Thomas side and the Emcee on  the side of Raekwon and Ghostface. This is one of those tracks 20 years down the line you take pride in that a generation can own and call true.

Strong Arm Steady -- Classic -- Video Of The Day

I can't seem to get enough of what Stones Throw has to offer. I regularly visit the site looking for new music to inspire me and just keep my ears fresh. This new video from Strong Arm Steady really hit the spot for me today. I'm really digging this song most likely cause I'm a heavy herb smoker. Its right up my alley lyrically and instrumentally I love it. Need a good track to just chill and zone out too and this is the one. Repeat

Wu -- Wednesday -- Method Man

My Wu-Wednesday pick this week is Method Man -- Bring The Pain

A classic off of Tical Method's first solo effort this unforgettable banger is at the top of my favorite Wu releases. Lyrically entertaining while still very genius with the word play. A true master of being an Emcee Method Man has never been short of impressing me. I love dropping this track in a party and seeing the reaction of the crowd. Its cultural influence will surely dominate the air waves for many more years to come. Enjoy

Video Of The Day -- R Kelly

R Kelly -- She Got That Vibe was my video choice for today.

This is one of my favorite R Kelly 90's jams. It really reminds me of my childhood a lot. My brothers and baby sister use to be big on BET and music videos. I use to feel like I was being forced to watch something I didn't like cause I would of rather been watching Droopy D. I'm more then happy to have gone through that experience now cause it turned out to be a very valuable asset to my life. I love this jam.

DJ PRIME CUTS __ SCRATCH __ CUTS __ BATTLES

This DJ PRIME CUTS of The Scratch Perverts, video is such an inspiration. When I see this all I want to do is practice. I've been obsessed with watching this dudes routines ever since I started studying turntablism. I don't really know how I came across his work but the first time I saw his performances I was blown away. The way this guy manipulates a mixer is crazy. There are tons of great scratch artist out there but he is definitely at the top of my favorite list to study. This video is just a little something for my DJ HIP-HOP Heads who love scratching and are dedicated to the art of turntablism.

Wu - Wednesday -- Cappadonna

Slang Editorial is my Wu - Wednesday pick this week. Cappadonna is one of my favorite Wu - Tang members even if he is often credited as unofficial, but as far as I'm concerned his place in the clan is indisputable. Slang Editorial comes off the legendary Pillage album his first solo release which I regard as a classic and one of the most important hip-hop albums of the 90's lyrically. A genius of word play I've been captivated by Cappadonna's skills as an Emcee since I first caught wind of his music growing up. I even had a chance to meet and see him perform at a Show & Prove about 6 years ago in Harlem solidifying him even more as one of my all time favorite Wu members. Enjoy.

Video Of The Day -- Stones Throw -- Tony Cook

Video of the day is Tony Cook feat. Dam Funk -- What's On Your Mind from the legendary underground label based out of Los Angeles California, Stones Throw Records. I love this song and video by Tony Cook Feat. Dam Funk cause it has so much soul and personality to it. I love that funky sound that Stones Throw always bring. Constantly consistent in sound and taste. Tony Cook a life long music man in the game brings you this infectious piece of work that makes you feel like you just came from a party at the paradise garage. Just really dig this track a lot. Enjoy

Wu - Wednesday -- GZA

GZA -- Cold World an epic master piece of rhyme scheme set to a story. My attraction to hip-hop growing up was always cause of the colorful story telling. GZA is by far one of the biggest lyrical threats in the Wu-Tang arsenal. Its crazy to think how much we have overlooked GZA cause he sincerely is a lyrical genius. This music is very dark in climate compared to the music we hear today but deep beneath all the Pepsi campaigns and Heineken shows shit is still real out here.

Video Of The Day -- Nonchalant

Classic throwback from the days when BET bought the truth. I have vivid memories watching this video with my older brother after school thinking to myself that this was truth. I was always impressed with the stories the rappers would tell growing up probably cause you could see those stories playing out every where. I often wonder if these songs from the 90's that I obsessed with are a gift or a curse. They are so dark I can understand why people can't really vibe with the pure essence of what hip-hop is and was. Its much easier to snap your fingers lean with it and not care.

Wu - Wednesday -- Raekwon

Raekwon -- Heaven & Hell is by far one of my all time favorite Wu tracks. Only Built 4 Cuban Linx is at the top of my list for greatest hip-hop albums of all time. I also strongly believe it is by far one of the most culturally significant albums from that era of hip-hop and of all time. Its literary cinematography appeal is what makes it one of the best albums of all time.

What do you believe in heaven or hell you don't believe in heaven cause your living in hell.
