BS -- Douchebag Aviators

Brooklyn independent artist BS brings us some comical fun today that's perfect for the party and the summer months coming up. Douchebag Aviators makes a spectacle of the needy fashion trend of Brooklyn's notorious hipsters. Lyrical and far from mundane this record is a ton of fun. I'm sure this record will make its rounds in the DJ rotation this summer.

New Azealia Banks -- Yung Rapunxel

New exclusive Azealia Banks Yung Rapunxel produced by Lil Internet. Its been awhile since we've heard from the Harlem bred emcee but she brings to us another hard hitting sexually infused dance song for the clubs. Staying consistent with the 212 ingredients that kept dance floors moving that put her all in our conscious. It will be interesting to see how this sound will evolve next.

Throwback Thursday -- Swing Out Sister

Swing Out Sister is one of my favorite groups from the late 80's and early 90's. I've always been a huge fan of their song writing talent. I've found their lyrics to be catchy and intelligent in a way that's not daunting on the listener. My video throwback choice today is Not Gonna Change a 92' Japanese release. This song is one of my personal favorites to throw in the mix while working. It's a great song to warm up your set. Especially in a corporate event setting. A true 90's pop songwriter classic.

Check out this new video from Miguel -- Candles In The Sun
It's shot and directed by the amazingly talented Sarah McColgan and features a cameo from my brother an Iraq Veteran Hector Rene Membreno in there. A great song of passion, hope, and humanity. Really digging everything Miguel has bought to the table in this last year.

Windham Calling -- The Nuclears -- The Bottom Dollars -- Music On The JMZ

Peace and blessings to all my music lovers. I got a special treat for you today. A change in tone to keep our sound pallets diverse. I've recently given you a lot of Hip-Hop and today I wanted to give you a little Rock & Roll from two of my favorite local bands here in Brooklyn. The Nuclears & The Bottom Dollars.

Windham Calling is a dual single release collaboration between the Dollars and The Nukes. The Nuclears deliver us the infectious tune Baby You Know I Love You (But You've Gotta Stop Bringing Me Down) and The Bottom Dollars give us the bluesy hit Morning Thunder.

Both bands deliver solid performances full of character and soul that really makes you miss and appreciate the lack of live music in our current mass media culture. They came with a good answer though for this dilemma. Instrumentation that pays homage to the music we love but still brings a modern twist that connects with the youthful culture of today.

Baby You Know I Love You is that song you can't get out of your head an unforgettable hook accompanied by a great love story that many can relate to and amazing vocals. Morning Thunder brings you that gritty blues rock feel that makes you want to rock out like no can see. I can just picture myself driving down the highway jamming to these two songs. Check it out for yourself.

All proceeds are donated to the Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund via the Red Cross.
Enjoy

NEW MUSIC!!! Red Walrus & Dyllemma -- Happy Little Trees

Peace and blessings to all the peeps that run into my blog. I hope what I share with you enriches your daily life experience, insights motivation and inspiration.

Today I got some new music from two of my personal favorites here in Brooklyn. The homies Red Walrus and DJ Dyllemma. They just dropped Happy Little Trees a hard hitting and infectious sonic listening experience that brings you that hard hitting Hip-Hop sound you crave for. An assortment of soul samples with brilliant turntable composition to accompany by DJ Dyllemma makes this one of my favorites to start off the week.

Notable tracks to listen too are, Deadly Music Box, Walruslude, Cop Knock &, Brown Betty.

You can check out there bandcamp below where you can kindly make a contribution of your choice or just rock the record for free. I'm sure the music in your ears would be highly appreciated
 by this talented duo.
